


Turtlehead, White (Chelone glabra)
This native perennial, Turtlehead, White (Chelone glabra), is in the Figwort family. Growing to the height of up to 5’ tall and producing the sweetest creamy white “turtlehead” looking flower. A favorite of native bumblebees and Ruby throated hummingbirds are known to favor it.
A wetland indicator, found growing on borders of fields and wetland meadow areas. So grow it in a moist area, full sun to partial shade (afternoon shade).
